Penelope & James

Penelope & James

"Bloom Where You Are Planted"

The absence of colour only served as a beautifully blank canvas on which this stunning wedding was designed. Penelope and James are both of Greek origin, living in Australia and it was an honour to coordinate their wedding.  Held at The Hagia Sophia in Thessaloniki, one of the oldest churches in the world, the antiquated setting was the perfect backdrop for this beautiful event. Carrying a hand-tied posy of pristine white orchids, the bride wore a Greek lace dress with a simple silhouette. The groom wore a contrasting black suit, with cheeky skull accessory!

Hosting the reception at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall, I was keen to carry the contemporary theme into the table centrepieces. Carefully arranged white flowers, deep green foliage with rose gold accents for additional evening sparkle. The beautiful couple was joined by both Australian and Greek guests and the evening reception came to a crescendo with a terrific fireworks display.

Best Bits: A happy wedding, with dancing lasting long into the night under prettily strung white lights.
