Elena & Paul
"There is a great tradition in storytelling...and this is a beautiful one"
I have the unique privilege of planning weddings with sentiment and soul every day, but just sometimes one really stands out. Elena and Paul both live in Washington DC, but the bride's origins in Greece called her to retrace the steps of her parents and to celebrate her nuptials in the same church. The ceremony was held at the grandiose Church Metropolis of Thessaloniki. In a setting of such opulence, flowers needed to be understated but nod towards the chosen colours of themes of beige, olive green and plum.
Beautiful displays of lisianthus, roses, tulips and olive branches where subtly positioned at the entrance to the church and on the candles near the altar. In keeping with the theme, the evening reception was dressed with plum tablecloths, flooded with candlelight, flowers and favours. And for added attention to detail, each table was named with a beautiful Greek location. I wish the couple every happiness in creating stories of their own to share with generations to come.
